Privacy PolicyTerms and Conditions

Acceptance

By accessing or using BlackLetter, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the account or organization you represent. Do not use BlackLetter if you are not authorized to accept these terms.

Accounts and Workspaces

Users are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for activity under their accounts. Each paid account is owned by one user; optional workspace names are display metadata and do not create team access or shared tenancy.

Customer Content

You retain responsibility for documents, case data, prompts, messages, and other content submitted to BlackLetter. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload, process, and share that content through the service.

AI Assistant

BlackLetter assistant output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a specific matter. Users must review assistant output, verify citations and source documents, and apply independent professional judgment before relying on it.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse BlackLetter, bypass security controls, access another user's data, upload unlawful or unauthorized content, interfere with service operations, or use the service in a way that violates applicable law or professional obligations.

Subscriptions and Billing

Paid features, included token limits, overage charges, checkout flows, and mobile purchases are governed by the plan and purchase terms shown in the product or applicable store at the time of purchase. Taxes, payment provider rules, failed payments, and billing recovery may affect access to paid features.

Service Changes

BlackLetter may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves. We may also restrict or terminate access if use of the service creates security, legal, billing, operational, or abuse risks.

Disclaimers and Liability

BlackLetter is provided as a software tool and does not replace legal advice, professional review, or independent verification. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlackLetter is provided without warranties not expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as BlackLetter changes. The updated terms will show a new last updated date and will apply from the date they are posted unless stated otherwise.
